Journalist, Author, Poet, Screenwriter… I’m starting it all here.

I view journalism as advocacy. The first articles I wrote spoke on behalf of demographics that I identify with, and seeing how this resonated with these groups encouraged my interest in journalism.

The NCTJ taught me how to effectively communicate such information to any given audience, and I also experienced growth in my ability to write a news story during the course.

I am more equipped than ever to mix the skills of news reporting with that of advocacy for issues that I am passionate about.

I also aspire to be an author and a screenwriter – passions that are just as important to me as journalism. I am excited to see my aspirations inspire and interact with each other, for all will be achieved in my lifetime.
